Keep An Eye On Honduras, Folks!

The MSM have been trying very hard to push the idea that ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya's return to Honduras as a squatter in the Brazilian Embassy is a positive sign that the situation there will improve. And by "improving" they mean the re-installation of a Chavez-backed Communist dictator. They've also tried to put forth the idea that Zelaya will be an ineffective lame duck until the elecitons happen in November, which, as we will see, is at best wishful thinking.

The MSM (particularly the Associated Press) have been cheerleading for this Chavez wanna-be since this whole thing started. They have repeatedly put the forth the false claims that the former President was illegally deposed (he wasn't), that there is widespread rioting all over the country (there isn't), and that the majority of the people want him back (they don't).

The AP in particular has been portraying Zelaya as a "victim" - a poor leader removed from "his" country through a "coup d'etat" - while only marginally touching on the reasons he was deposed (those being that he repeatedly tried to subvert the constitution of the country and was on the verge of holding an illegal referendum to alter the country's constitution when he was stopped by his own party).

Now the new government are in the particularly untenable position of having a Communist backed dictator wannabe in their country fomenting an insurrection and trying to combat against looting and violence, and the "human rights" assholes at the U.N. and other places condemning the government for subverting "freedom of speech" - which is what they call it when Chavez-backed radio stations are broadcasting calls for violence and anarchy.

So, rather than listen to the lies of the MSM, let us instead look at some other sources, to find the story that the MSM is not telling about Honduras...

World4Honduras is a group of Hondurans and expats from many countries across political lines, working to present the truthful articles about Honduras in support of the Democratic Change of Government in Honduras. It is updated almost daily. Here are a handful of articles for those who wish to know the truth....

The Background, Myths, and Ironies of the Current Political Situation in Honduras

This is a link to a 24-page pdf file and is a great introduction and resource for those wondering just what is going on in Honduras.

La Gringa's Bogicita - written by an American expat living in La Ceiba, is a fantastic blow-by-blow account of the current situation. She wanted to write a blog about gardening, and is now in the middle of an insurrection of Chavez-backed goons - tacitly supported by the United States and the U.N...

Zelaya Comes To Honduras and Violence Follows

"The population of Honduras is over 7.5 million. This is not a civil war. This is anarchy by a few thousand violent criminals being emboldened by the words of the former president, Hugo Chávez and his lackey sympathizers, the US, the OAS, the European Union, and the UN. That is a pretty formidable crowd for this little and very poor country to stand up to, but they have stood firm and consistent for almost three months precisely because they are standing up for the freedom and democracy of their country.

If you wouldn't want this to happen in your country, please help Honduras by contacting your government representatives and asking them not to interfere in Honduras. If you have contacted them before, please do it again. Honduras desperately needs your help to prevent international intervention."

What else can you do?

Sign the Petition to President Obama demanding that he recognize the Micheletti government, and withdraw US support from
Chavez-sponsored puppet Manuel Zelaya.

Keep a close eye on Honduras, people!

We will see just how far President Obama and the U.N. will go to support Global Communism.

The outcome of this mess should leave little doubt as to where our President stands on the rights of other countries to self-determination, and, ultimately, the right of the American people to determine the fate of their own country.

More Sixties Sickness: Murderer Susan Atkins Dies in Prison: YESSSS!!!

Alright! Some good news for a change! Manson Family member and vicious homicidal bitch Susan Atkins has died in prison! Thank God!

"She was the scariest of the Manson girls,"
said Stephen Kay, who helped prosecute the case and
argued against Atkins' release at her parole hearings.
"She was very violent."

Susan Atkins, who committed one of modern history's most notorious crimes when she joined Charles Manson and his gang for a string of killings in 1969 that terrorized Los Angeles and put her in prison for the rest of her life, has died. She was 61.

Convicted of eight murders, Atkins served more than 38 years of a life sentence at the California Institution for Women in Chino. She was the longest-serving prisoner among women currently held in the state's penitentiaries, Thornton said. That distinction now falls to Patricia Krenwinkel, who was convicted along with Atkins in the Tate-LaBianca murders

Although prison staffers and clergy workers commended Atkins' behavior during her many years behind bars, she was repeatedly denied parole, with officials citing the cruel and callous nature of her crimes.

Atkins confessed to killing actress Sharon Tate -- the pregnant wife of director Roman Polanski -- who was stabbed 16 times and hanged; Tate's nearly full-term fetus died with her. The next night, Atkins accompanied Manson and his followers when they broke into the Los Feliz home of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca and killed them.

"She was the scariest of the Manson girls," said Stephen Kay, a former Los Angeles County deputy district attorney who helped prosecute the case and argued against Atkins' release at her parole hearings. "She was very violent."

(snip)

It was Atkins who broke open the case when she bragged of her participation in the slayings to cellmates at Sybil Brand Institute in East Los Angeles, where she was being held on other charges; two of her cellmates told authorities of her confession.

Atkins subsequently appeared before a grand jury, providing information that led to her own indictment, as well as that of Manson and others. Later, in a lurid, 10-month trial, she provided crucial testimony that fed the public's fascination with Hollywood celebrities, drugs, sex and violence.

It also left an unshakable image of Atkins as a remorseless killer, who taunted the court at her sentencing with chilling words: "You'd best lock your doors," she said, "and watch your own kids."

In 1971, two separate juries found Manson, Atkins, Krenwinkel and Charles "Tex" Watson guilty on seven counts of first-degree murder. Another Manson follower, Leslie Van Houten, was convicted of two murders.

All received the death sentence, later reduced to life terms after the California Supreme Court abolished the death penalty in 1972. (The Legislature later reenacted the death penalty statute.) Manson, Krenwinkel, Watson and Van Houten remain in prison.

(snip)

On the night of Aug. 8, Manson instructed Atkins and other followers -- Krenwinkel, Watson and Linda Kasabian -- to don their dark clothes and pack knives. Manson stayed at the ranch while they drove through the Hollywood Hills, winding up at the Tate residence in Benedict Canyon.

Around midnight, the nightmare began.

The first to die was Steven Parent, 18, a friend of Tate's caretaker, who encountered the murderers as he was leaving the estate. The other victims were inside the main house: Tate, 26, best known for her role in the movie "Valley of the Dolls"; Hollywood hairstylist Jay Sebring, 35; Voytek Frykowski, 32, a friend of Polanski, who was out of the country; and Abigail Folger, 25, a coffee heiress and Frykowksi's girlfriend.

Atkins later admitted stabbing Frykowski and Tate. She said that before fleeing the scene, Watson ordered her to leave a message in the house that would "shock the world," so she used Tate's blood to write "PIG" on the front door.

At her parole board hearing in 1993, an official asked Atkins if Tate said anything to her in her last moments.

"She asked me to let the baby live," Atkins said tearfully. "I told her I didn't have mercy for her."

The night after the Tate killings, Manson led a group that included Atkins, Watson, Krenwinkel and Kasabian on another expedition. They wound up at the LaBianca home. Manson tied up Leno, 44, and Rosemary, 38, then left the killing to Watson, Krenwinkel and Van Houten. Afterward, they took a shower and made a snack in the LaBiancas' kitchen before departing. Atkins stayed in the car.

The '60s "abruptly ended on August 9, 1969," Joan Didion wrote of the shocking crimes that closed a decade pocked with assassinations, Vietnam War deaths and other violence. The Tate-LaBianca murders made some people fear "that they had somehow done it to themselves," Didion said, "that it had to do with too much sex, drugs and rock and roll."

Now the families of the victims can FINALLY get some closure. Never again will they have to read about the evil demonic woman who took the lives of their loved ones in the most sick, beastly way possible. Never again will they have to go to a parole hearing to plead their case - having to explain to allegedly sane people why this butcher should never get out.

And for those concerned about my lack of compassion: shove it DEEP!

Your sympathy for killers and other criminals has nothing to do with "compassion" and everything to do with your own sick contempt for society and humanity in general. I doubt you have a truly compassionate bone in your body. Did any of you sick assholes defending Atkins' release from prison even think for a moment about why this Satanic bitch and her posse were in prison to begin with? Or do you simply not care?

Admit it... you ENJOY the infliction of pain upon the innocent. I'm sure in your diseased minds you see it as some form of "justice." These killers are people you admire... people who have the "guts" to do what you would so desperately love to do but are too chickenshit to. As far as I'm concerned you are (almost) as sick as Manson and his followers. Those who would deny society's moral obligation to punish those that inflict harm against it are MENTALLY ILL.

Like This Guy....

So where are they now? The remaining (sadly, still alive) figures in the Manson murders...

Charles Manson, 74, is serving time at Corcoran State Prison for eight murders. He refused to attend his last parole hearing in 2007, claiming that he was a "prisoner of the political system." He has had numerous disciplinary violations, and at his last hearing was cited for not participating in a rehabilitation program and refusing a psychiatric evaluation. He has been denied parole 11 times; his next hearing is scheduled for 2012.

Charles "Tex" Watson, 63, Manson's chief lieutenant during the Tate-LaBianca killing sprees, is incarcerated at Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, Calif. He became a born-again Christian and operates a nonprofit prison ministry called Abounding Love Ministries. He also married and fathered three children while in prison. He has lost 15 bids for parole, most recently in 2006.

Patricia Krenwinkel, 61, is serving time at the California Institution for Women in Corona. Called "Katie" by other Manson family members, she chased Abigail Folger across the Tate lawn with a knife, and the next night stabbed Rosemary LaBianca. At her last parole hearing in 2004, a psychologist who evaluated her said Krenwinkel has not expressed remorse or taken responsibility for the murders. She has been denied parole 13 times.

Leslie Van Houten, 60, is incarcerated at the California Institution for Women for the LaBianca deaths. She has repeatedly expressed remorse for the crimes and has maintained an exemplary disciplinary record in prison. A former homecoming princess from Monrovia, she has many supporters outside prison who have urged her release, including a San Bernardino County Superior Court judge who in 2002 chastised the parole board for ignoring evidence of her rehabilitation. In 2006, she was turned down for parole for the 17th time.

Bobby Beausoleil, 61, was convicted of killing musician and Manson family associate Gary Hinman on July 27, 1969, two weeks before the Tate-LaBianca murders. He has composed and recorded music while serving a life sentence. Turned down for parole 14 times, he is being held at a state prison in Oregon.

Bruce Davis, 66, was convicted in the murders of Hinman and ranch hand Donald "Shorty" Shea. He is incarcerated at the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo. He has been denied parole 26 times.

Only one of the ex-Manson family members convicted in the 1969 crimes has been released:

Steve Grogan, 63, was convicted with Davis in the murder of Shea. After telling authorities where to find Shea's buried body, he was released in 1985 and discharged from parole in 1988. His whereabouts are unknown.

Also free after being incarcerated on other crimes are:

Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme, 60, was paroled in August, 34 years after her assassination attempt on President Ford in 1975.

Sandra Good, 65, was sentenced to a 15-year federal prison term in 1976 for sending threatening letters to 170 corporate executives. She was paroled in 1985.

Jury Doesn't Buy Illegal Alien Crack Dealer's Sob Story - May (and should) Be Deported

A Honduran illegal alien's wild tale of human trafficking and forced drug dealing was just the kind of thing to play on the sympathies of a jury of San Francisco liberals. But, fortunately, it didn't work...

A San Francisco jury convicted a Honduran immigrant Friday of felony charges of dealing crack in the Tenderloin, rejecting his defense that human traffickers had threatened to kill him if he didn't sell drugs.

Rigoberto Valle, 23, has been in custody since his arrest June 4 at Golden Gate Avenue and Larkin Street for selling two rocks of crack cocaine to undercover officers.

Valle will be sentenced Oct. 19. He is expected to receive credit for time served and be placed on three years' probation. He would then be subject to deportation, however, because he is under a federal hold on suspicion of being an illegal immigrant.

Valle testified that traffickers known as coyotes who brought him to San Francisco had demanded $500 for his passage from Phoenix and ordered him - at the point of a gun and then a knife - to earn it by dealing crack. The sum was on top of the $1,500 his family had paid the smugglers to get across the border, Valle said.

The jury in San Francisco Superior Court deliberated nearly eight hours starting Thursday before convicting Valle.

Outside court, jurors said they sympathized with Valle, who testified that he had traveled a month by foot, bus and boxcar to reach the United States. But they also said they weren't sure they believed that human traffickers had forced him to deal drugs.

"I wanted to find him not guilty," said one juror, who did not want to be named. "We all had enormous sympathy for his situation, but that was not what we were there to decide on.

"To me, it came down to that he knew what he was doing was illegal," the juror said. "I don't think he honestly cared."

Jury foreman Daniel Ludwinski said he also sympathized with Valle and believed he had been a victim of human trafficking. But, he said, "It all came down to whether we could trust the defendant."

He said he thought Valle could have avoided dealing crack by leaving or seeking help.

Valle's attorney, Hadi Razzaq, brought in an expert from Oregon who testified that the alleged threats against Valle turned his situation from one of simple illegal immigration to human trafficking.

Razzaq asked that the jury "protect Mr. Valle - he's a victim."

"I'm extremely disappointed," Razzaq said after the verdict. "It's unfortunate that somebody who's been a victim of what I think pretty clearly is human trafficking is being prosecuted and now convicted."

Assistant District Attorney Richard Hechler told the jury that the case was about a sale of two rocks of crack, nothing more. He said Valle had contributed to his plight by agreeing to come to San Francisco.

"He could have run, he should have run and he didn't run," Hechler said in his closing argument. "He may or may not have been trafficked. That's not the issue. The issue is, did he commit a crime?"

Hechler declined to comment after the verdict, but spokesman Brian Buckelew of the district attorney's office said, "From day one we said this wasn't a human trafficking case. It was another crack sale in the Tenderloin. The jury agreed."

For years now, illegal alien drug dealers have been gaming the system - often claiming to be minors to avoid punishment and deportation. The City has been all too willing to look the other way, as evidenced by the Sifferman scandal and the myriad of stories highlighting SF's blaze attitude towards illegal alien crime and criminals.

It's certainly refreshing to find one sane voice in San Francisco's morally bankrupt D.A.'s office. Though you have to wonder if time served and probation is the norm, and, if so, what does that say about our justice system?

The Fable of the Nightwatchman; or, How Government "Works"

Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said someone might steal from it at night, so they created a night watchman position (GS-4) and hired a person for the job.

Then Congress said, “How does the watchman do his job without instruction?” So they created a planning position and hired two people: one person to write the instructions (GS-12) and one person to do time studies (GS-11).

Then Congress said, “How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?” So they created a Q.C. position and hired two people, one GS-9 to do the studies and one GS-11 to write the reports.

Then Congress said, “How are these people going to get paid?” So they created the following positions, a timekeeper (GS-09) and a payroll officer (GS-11) and hired two people.

Then Congress said, “Who will be accountable for all of these people?”

So they created an administrative position and hired three people: an Admin. Officer (GM-13), an Assistant Admin. Officer (GS-13) and a Legal Secretary (GS-08).

Then Congress said, “We have had this command in operation for one year and we are $18,000 over budget, we must cutback overall cost,” so they laid off the night watchman.

Sixties Sickness

Mackenzie Phillips' recent bombshell that her father - Mama's and Papa's singer John Phillips - was a sick, twisted freak surprised few people. It was well known that he had pushed his own daughter into drug abuse at a very early age. But the details of the depth of this man's sickness and evil is a shock to the system to be sure.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired Wednesday, Mackenzie Phillips said that she was raped by her father while still a teenager.

"I woke up that night from a blackout and found myself having sex with my own father," Phillips read aloud from her book, "High on Arrival," during the hour-long interview with Winfrey.

"I came out of that blackout and realized what was happening. ... I slid right back into it and woke up the next morning in my own hotel room and not with him," she continued to read. "Your father is supposed to protect you, not [expletive] you."

Phillips, now 49, said she was 17 or 18 the first time she can remember having sex with her father.

When she confronted him and told him they needed to talk about how he raped her, Phillips said, he responded with confusion.

" 'Raped you? Don't you mean when we made love?' " she told Winfrey. "I thought, wow, I'm really on my own here."

Mackenzie Phillips had a very long and very public struggle with drugs following her stint on the TV show "One Day at a Time." It's only now we're seeing the hell she went through.

When I entered drug rehab for my own troubles seven years ago, our support group was joined briefly by the daughter of another famous 1960's Bay Area rock musician (I won't say which one). I thought it incredible that this girl's father - a multi-multi-millionaire - would not assist his own daughter and force her to run the clinic gauntlet like us normal schmoes. She lasted about a month before leaving the group.

As a former drug addict, I've seen the good and the bad of it. I've seen firsthand how drugs can fuel your sickest fantasies and serve as a "conscience suppressant." Nobody told me I was God while I was an addict; if they had, I might still be one. Or dead.

Hippies suck.

Is Your Toaster Racist?

Beautiful piece here from the People's Cube*...

Just as the progressive community was scraping the bottom of the barrel to rationalize America's rejection of Obama's socialist policies and to provide plausible but untrue reasons for the 9-12 Tea Party in Washington, DC, Newsweek boosted their efforts with an effective subliminal image on this week's cover, leaving no doubt that the debate is all about race. A picture of a white baby with large black letters over its face "Is your baby racist?" is a brave new take on the olden-but-golden response "You're a racist!" to every difficult question.

The article describing the study of the 6-month-old babies may in itself be innocuous, but the picture on the cover is worth a thousand words inside the magazine, especially if you don't bother to read it.

In fact, it's worth the entire content of the magazine for those who already are too depressed about the issue and instead just walk away from the newsstand with a vague impression of white guilt that reinforces every gloomy stereotype instilled in the American populace by progressive education.

Was it a deliberate visual agitation and propaganda on part of Newsweek's editorial board? If it wasn't, the only other explanation is a properly conditioned progressive response to new information, achieved by decades of training aimed at replacing thinking with korrekt clichés.

Either way, we believe Newsweek has earned the prestigious "Beet of the week" award and recommend that Commissarka Pinkie sends all mothers of the members of the their board of directors bumper stickers saying "My son is a beet of the week at ThePeoplesCube.com."

We were able to obtain versions of two rejected covers for this week's issue:

More Border Bullshit

Two things you can count on when it comes to border security - especially along the Southern border with Mexico.

First, everyone agrees that more needs to be done. And second, nothing ever gets done.

LOS ANGELES — Government auditors reported Thursday that the effort to secure the Mexican border with technology and fences has fallen years behind schedule, will cost billions of dollars extra in maintenance costs and has no clear means of gauging whether illegal crossings have been curtailed.

Mark Borkowski, who directs the Secure Border Initiative for the Department of Homeland Security, stood by the program as “transformational,” but did not challenge the findings. “We are as frustrated as anybody is” with the setbacks, Mr. Borkowski said in an interview.

The report, by the Government Accountability Office, Congress’s watchdog, said the department had fallen about seven years behind its goal of putting in place the technology the Bush administration had heavily promoted when it announced the Secure Border Initiative in 2005.

In 2006, the report said, the department estimated it would have a system of cameras, radars and sensors in place to aid a force of border guards by the end of 2009, but the completion date is now projected as 2016.

“Flaws found in testing and concerns about the impact of placing towers and access roads in environmentally sensitive locations caused delays,” said Richard M. Stana, an author of the report. The cameras and radars, a “virtual fence” in a system designed by the contractor, Boeing, have fallen prey to weather and mechanical problems.

The effort to build 661 miles of fences blocking vehicles or pedestrians is nearly complete, but with 28 miles left to go, it has been delayed by lawsuits from landowners in Texas.

The government has spent $2.4 billion on such “physical infrastructure,” but the report said it could cost $6.5 billion over 20 years to maintain it.

For all the money spent, the department has not set up a way to evaluate the fences’ impact, relying mainly on the judgment of senior Border Patrol agents.

Mr. Borkowski said the government auditors were overly “pessimistic,” and, while he offered no guarantees, he predicted the system would prove successful. He said the department was studying ways to judge its success beyond managers’ opinions.

The apprehension of illegal immigrants at the border has fallen to lows not seen in decades, but scholars and Mexican officials say the recession and the lack of jobs in the United States have contributed to the drop.

Representative Bennie Thompson, Democrat of Mississippi and the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said in response to the report that department officials needed to get the Secure Border Initiative “right or find an alternative technology solution.”

Most of us immigration realists - or "racist Nazis" as we are known on the left - have said from the outset that the "technological fix" for the border was, at best, a flawed concept using untested technology to give the illusion of doing something, and, at worst, a deliberate shell game intended to shut people up about this country's deeply ambivalent attitude towards illegal immigration. It's total failure comes as no surprise - it was designed to fail.

Many open-borders advocates weren't too concerned about it, and now we know why. Just like the "conditional amnesty" - where illegal aliens pay a piddling fine, promise to (someday try to attempt to) learn English (someday maybe), and pay (totally unverifiable) back taxes - the open-borders folks know that it is totally unenforceable and amounts to a free pass. That's why they don't object.

and that's why we will keep calling bullshit on them. Joe Wilson was right - it is all lies. Obama and the racial pressure groups will not give up their dream of a free ride for illegals so easily. It is ridiculous to think they've had a change of heart on the issue. One way or another this health care bill WILL cover illegal aliens. Count on it.

Obama: Legalize illegals to get them health care

"It is ironic that the president told the American people that illegal immigrants should not be covered by the health care bill, but now just days later he's talking about letting them in the back door," said Rep. Lamar Smith of Texas, the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee.

"If the American people do not want to provide government health care for illegal immigrants, why would they support giving them citizenship, the highest honor America can bestow?" Mr. Smith said.

Ramos Murder Redux - Bill Clinton to Emerge From Under Rock to Campaign for Newsom

A lot of junk in the "news" today at the illegal-aliens-can-do-no-wrong SFGate. First, some actual news...

The family of a father and two sons who were slain in San Francisco last year can go to state court with a claim that the city is to blame for failing to turn their alleged killer over to immigration authorities when he was arrested earlier as a juvenile, a federal judge has ruled.

City Attorney Dennis Herrera had asked U.S. District Judge Susan Illston to rule on the claim herself after dismissing the rest of the suit last month by Tony Bologna's widow and daughter. But Illston said Friday that the remainder of the family's case - that the city's negligence caused the killings - belongs in Superior Court because it is based on state law and challenges San Francisco's policies.

Bologna, 48, and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16, were shot to death near their home in the Excelsior district in June 2008. Edwin Ramos, 22, is charged with murdering them.

Ramos, a native of El Salvador whom prosecutors describe as a member of the MS-13 gang, was arrested twice as a juvenile, for an assault in October 2003 and an attempted purse-snatching in April 2004. Juvenile courts sent him to a shelter after the first incident and to the city-run Log Cabin Ranch in the Peninsula hills after the second.

Case records don't show whether police or juvenile courts knew that Ramos had entered the United States illegally. But under juvenile authorities' interpretation of the city's sanctuary policy at the time, they would not have passed that information along to federal immigration officials. Federal authorities learned of Ramos' status later but did not take him into custody for deportation proceedings.

The family's lawsuit says the city was responsible for the shootings because its policy allowed Ramos to go free.

Last month, Illston rejected the family's claim that the city's actions violated the shooting victims' constitutional right to due process of law. She said the city might be held to account if it knew Ramos posed a specific threat to the Bolognas, but not for releasing someone who allegedly endangered a large segment of the public.

Herrera's office urged Illston to address the negligence claim as well, arguing that it was governed by the same legal standard: a requirement that the plaintiffs show city officials knew the Bolognas were in danger and had a duty to protect them.

But Matthew Davis, the family's lawyer, said Monday that California law makes it easier to hold government officials accountable for allegedly harboring illegal immigrants or preventing police from reporting them to federal authorities.

As stated earlier, batshit lunatic DA Kamala Harris announced to the surprise of no one that her useless office would not seek the death penalty in the case. Mayor Greaseball weighed in on the subject, taking time out from his Gubernatorial fundraising - to visit the city he is allegedly the mayor of - to preside over a City Hall flag raising today to mark the anniversary of independence for Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Mexico!

You can't make this shit up.

(W)e at long last got to ask him about District Attorney Kamala Harris' controversial decision last week to not seek the death penalty in the trial of Edwin Ramos, the alleged killer of Tony Bologna, 48, and his sons, Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16.

You'll recall Ramos, an illegal immigrant, was never turned over to federal authorities after being picked up on other charges as a teenager. That policy has since been reversed by Newsom - and now undocumented youth are turned over when they're arrested for felonies - but the issue is expected to be a big one in the mayor's campaign for governor.

Anyway, Newsom is backing Harris' decision.

"I can sit here on the sidelines and provide punditry, but none of us are privy to the facts of the case so I defer to her judgment," he said.

Asked whether he expects the Ramos case - and the fact San Francisco isn't seeking the death penalty - to be problematic for him on the campaign trail, he said, "I don't look at issues like this as campaign issues. This is about human beings, about real people. It's not about politics."

We'll see about that.

First of all, the "facts of the case" simply do not matter to a heartless bitch like Harris. He could have murdered half the city and she'd still be making excuses. (Still you gotta admire her for sticking to her convictions... no matter how fucked-up, sick, twisted, evil, racist, and wrong they are!) (Actually, "convictions" is probably not the right word in this case...)

And Speaking of Newscum, this little tidbit is good for a laugh... and a shiver...

"I did not have sex with that woman... Gavin did... but I was next."

Bill Clinton to join Newsom on campaign trail

Newsom has scored a major coup indeed. Former President Bill Clinton will join Newsom at two events in Los Angeles Oct. 5. Not many details are being divulged, but we know one of the events is a campaign fundraiser for the mayor.

"President Clinton's record of achievement as president and as a senior statesman is inspiring to all Democrats," Newsom said in a statement. "I am truly honored that he will join me in October."

UPDATE: We asked Newsom today about the endorsement and he called it "a big deal" seeing as how it's coming early and during the primary campaign rather than the general election.

He said his ties to Clinton go back several years. The former president campaigned for Newsom during his first run at mayor in 2003, and Newsom returned the favor by endorsing Hillary Clinton for president. Newsom and the Clinton Foundation have partnered on a number of initiatives including Bank on San Francisco, which helps low-income people get bank accounts, and anti-obesity campaigns.

Newsom is far behind his expected challenger for the Democratic nomination, Attorney General Jerry Brown, when it comes to campaign fundraising and poll numbers. We asked the mayor if he thinks Clinton's endorsement will give his campaign a much-needed boost.

Newsom said the reason he's far behind in fundraising is that he's been focused on town hall events rather than dialing for dollars, which he said will change now that he's staying close to home in anticipation of the birth of his daughter.

"It's not that we've been struggling - it's that I've had a hard time doing both," he said.

This development led to some predictable - though still hilarious - comments from the peanut gallery...

"ew."

"...this is too easy...I won't even go there..."

"Ah, yet another reason not to vote for Newsom."

"His sexual mores are the same as Gavins.
His economics are the same. Thanks for NAFTA jerk..."

"The First Black President meets Emperor Snortin'?"

"Is this a good endorsement for Newsom? It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

"Cool. Clinton will piss away some more political capital on a candidate who won't even carry his home town. He will go down in flames. (Yeah, insert your favorite joke here.)"

"Bill Clinton's worst lapse of judgment ever, and I mean ever. Of every decision he has ever made in his life, this is the worst."

"I wonder what facet of Gavin's career has so impressed him."

"I don't want Newsom bending over California like he bent over his campaign manager's wife..."

"Great........first strategy meeting, tonight at nearest Hooters!"

"$50 says the stains on Newsom's suit match those on Monica's dress."

"I will never forgive him for passing NAFTA and effectively butt-raping every American working in the manufacturing sector."

"I'd say this means a lot of influential Democrats think Boy Gavin represents the future of the party. And boy is that bad news."

"My incredulity is only exceeded by my disgust. These two self-adoring pols deserve each other. As we all know, Mr. Bill didn't do his wife much good. I doubt that he can convince the public that Newsom is worth a damn. Newsom epitomizes all that has gone wrong with San Francisco in the modern era."

"Sorry, I mostly agree with Gavin Newsom but I cannot vote for him for supporting Illegal IMMIGRANTS. He supports gang activity, by harboring them in San Francisco, and keeping them there rather than deporting them. You can get away with murder in San Francisco if you are an ILLEGAL. Sorry Gavin, unless you can change that answer for me NO, I don't want you doing that for the entire state of California."

"Bill - please stick to freeing journalists instead of pumping up a lousy, absentee mayor who is not going to win the Governor's office."

"Clinton was all about the new economy, remember? Ship mfg. overseas, bring in NAFTA, create puff jobs in Silicon Valley with phoney finance, and presto, abra kadabra, appearances work, temporarily."

Though some suggest that Clinton's support of Newsom is a case of "my enemy's enemy is my friend..."

"I watched the 1992 Democratic Primary debates, and Jerry Brown came after 'Teflon' Bill with everything but an ax. Brown was very disturbed that Clinton was doing such a good job at diverting attention from his indiscretions. Given the emotional cripple that Bill Clinton is, it's not surprising that he will back a poser like Gavin Newsom just to get some payback."

"Bill Clinton would raise money for a monkey in a dinner jacket if it ran against Jerry Brown. (A monkey in a dinner jacket could probably beat Newsom anyway.)"

Another reason Clinton is endorsing Newsom? Bad blood with Jerry Brown

One quick thing to remember about Bill Clinton coming to San Francisco to endorse Mayor Gavin Newsom for guv. Yeah, yeah, much will be said about how it is political payback for Gav endorsing Hillary Clinton for prez in the Democratic primary last year.

But it's not like Bill and Hill have a lot of love for Gavin's soon-to-be rival, CA AG Jerry Brown. As we've mentioned in our past chats about California endorsements, there may be a little bad blood between Jerry and Bill going back to 1992, when the two squared off in the Democratic primary....hmmm...Tsongas.

And Finally Tonight... A Little Something For The Gays...

Gay people are funny. See, they're a lot like us "normal" people... they believe in a lot of different things, dress in lots of different clothes, and not all of them are hate-America Marxists. My guess is that any gay folks reading this blog fall into that category. And I thank you.

However, if perchance you're one of those gay folk that believe that America is the source of the world's problems and that this is a repressive society that wants to put you in concentration camps... then sit back on your nice sofa, pour yourself a glass of chablis, turn down "Project Runway" for a second, and read this...

Illegal Alien MS-13 Killer In Daly City Gets Fed Charges Tacked On; Why Not In Ramos' Case?

Different place, same story... a psychopathic illegal alien gangster bitch murders somebody for wearing the wrong color. Only this time, the Federales are getting involved...

An alleged member of the MS-13 gang is now facing federal murder and weapons charges in the Daly City slaying of a 21-year-old college student who was shot because his friends were wearing red - a color claimed by a rival gang - court records show.

Luis Herrera, 18, who was one of three suspects already facing state charges, was named in a criminal complaint filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in San Francisco. The complaint accused Herrera of murder in aid of racketeering and a gun-possession charge in the Feb. 19 slaying of Moises Frias Jr. near the Daly City BART Station.

Frias and three friends were listening to loud rap music as they drove toward a restaurant in a Buick Regal. About 7 p.m., the group was stopped at a light on John Daly Boulevard next to the BART Station when Danilo Velasquez, 28, and Jaime Balam, 20, jumped out of a stolen Honda Civic and sprayed the Buick with bullets from an assault rifle and a .380-caliber pistol, authorities said.

One of Frias's companions was wearing a red sweater, and another a red-and-white San Francisco 49ers cap, when the car was riddled with bullets. Frias died before he could reach the hospital and two of the other three young men in the car were wounded.

Members of MS-13 - a subset of the Sureño gang - claim the color blue. The rival Norteños claim red. None of the victims had anything to do with gangs, investigators said.

Luis "Killer" Herrera
(Seriously... these gangster bitches
should just save time and
make orange their "color")

Herrera, whose nickname is "Killer," murdered Frias "for the purpose of gaining entrance to and maintaining and increasing position in MS-13, an enterprise engaged in racketeering activity," the federal complaint said.

If convicted of the federal murder charge or a charge of possession of a firearm in a murder, he could face the death penalty, although federal prosecutors have not said whether they would seek it. If they do not seek the death penalty on the murder charge, Herrera would face a mandatory minimum of life in prison upon conviction.

The suspects' Honda, which had been stolen in San Francisco's Mission District, was found by police in the Castro a day after the slaying.

Daly City police had few other leads until March 4, when a "very alert" San Francisco police officer stopped a car driven by Herrera and arrested him on suspicion of auto theft and possession of a loaded .380-caliber pistol, police said.

Ballistics tests revealed that the pistol had been used in the Daly City slaying, authorities said. Herrera later told a fellow inmate that he and his three passengers had planned to kill Norteños on the day of the car stop, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent Special Agent Alicia MacDonald wrote in an affidavit filed in support of the federal complaint.

Velasquez was arrested in July in San Francisco.

Balam, the other alleged shooter, was deported to his native Mexico eight days after the shooting - before he was identified as a suspect - and is still being sought. Police said Balam, who had been deported once before, was picked up by federal immigration agents in San Francisco on Feb. 24. (So you'd better keep an eye out for this psycho... you know he'll be back!)

Daly City police have noted that Frias' shooting was strikingly similar to the June 2008 killing of a San Francisco father, Tony Bologna, and his two sons in the Excelsior neighborhood.

Yeah... more than a little familiar. So the obvious question is... why aren't the Federals seeking enhancements in that case? I don't suppose it could be because this is San Francisco - a City with lots of crazy assholes - some of them in the highest levels of Government (I'm looking at you Supervisor Campos) who support illegal alien criminals and will go to any lengths to protect them and enable them to commit more crimes against San Franciscans.

Sadly, for all of his bluster, US Attorney Russionello has proven to be somewhat of a puss when dealing with San Francisco's criminal government. Lots of talk and virtually no action.

I've tried writing to him before but there is apparently no way to email the US Attorney's Office in San Francisco, at least, not according to their web site.

Bitches Against Snitches: Ramos Case Gets Weirder

Another MS-13 piece of shit is in trouble with the law, with a connection to the Ramos murders...

San Francisco prosecutors have charged an alleged gang leader's girlfriend with beating a woman with a high-heel shoe because the victim's brother cooperated with police investigating the 2008 killings of a father and his two sons.

Sally Melendez, 27, allegedly used her stiletto heel to commit the June 7 attack on the woman outside a South of Market nightclub.

Police say Melendez, an alleged member of the notoriously violent MS-13 gang, accused the woman of being a "snitch" during the attack.

Last year, the woman's brother, Douglas Largaespada, himself an alleged member of MS-13, told police that suspected gang member Edwin Ramos was responsible for the June 22, 2008, slayings of 48-year-old Tony Bologna and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16.

(snip)

Police say she was still seething when, on June 7, she spotted Largaespada's sister at the nightclub at 11th and Folsom streets (presumably the thug club Caliente). Melendez and another woman allegedly connected to the gang attacked the sister, calling her and Largaespada snitches, police said.

The victim was left with four holes in her face from where Melendez's stiletto heel landed, police said.

Melendez was arrested in late July and faces charges of assault and intimidating a witness. She is free on bail (great... though the victim's probably safer than being in SF Witness Protection!). The woman who was with her has not been charged.

Melendez has pleaded not guilty. Her (scumbag) attorney, Joe O'Sullivan, said she "is being harassed because they are after her boyfriend, Flaco."

Largaespada, meanwhile, remains in federal custody on charges related to his alleged role in the gang. He has not been charged in the Bologna killings.

Intimidating witnesses and free on bail... just fucking great. Deport the scrapette!

Useless Slimebag D.A. Won't Seek Death Penalty For Illegal Alien Mass Murderer

Kamala Harris - twit - has decided not to seek the death penalty against Edwin Ramos - the illegal alien MS-13 gang member who murdered three members of the Bologna Family. No surprise really as she has never sought the death penalty against anyone - and, no doubt, would continue that practice as the State's Attorney General if (God in Heaven Forbid) she were elected.

San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris will not seek the death penalty for an alleged gang member accused of murdering a father and two of his sons, a prosecutor said Thursday.

The announcement in San Francisco Superior Court means that Edwin Ramos will at most serve life in prison without parole if convicted of the June 22, 2008, slayings of Tony Bologna, 48, and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16.

Scrap Be Lookin' Good in Norteño Red!

The decision is in keeping with Harris' campaign promise never to seek the death penalty. There had been speculation, however, that with Harris running for state attorney general next year, she might shift direction in an especially notorious crime.

Assistant District Attorney Harry Dorfman put an end to that speculation in court Thursday. "We will not seek the death penalty in this case," he told Judge Charles Haines.

(snip)

Tony Bologna's widow, Danielle Bologna, "is outraged," said Marti McKee, a spokeswoman for the family. "She feels that the city of San Francisco has let her and her family down."

Danielle Bologna and other relatives have sued the city, saying that authorities should have turned over Ramos, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, to federal authorities for deportation when he was arrested on gang-related offenses as a juvenile.

"She feels that not only did she lose half her family, she lost her home because she was forced to move so she could protect the rest of her family," McKee said. "With this decision, it will just never end."

D.A. Kamala Harris Takes Time Out From Whoring For Obama
To Explain Her Twisted, Sick Ideas

In the Ramos case, prosecutors have alleged three special circumstances that could have made him eligible for lethal injection - that the Bologna killings were gang-motivated, that they were committed as a drive-by attack, and that the shooter committed multiple murders.

No one in San Francisco has been sentenced to death since 1991, when Clifford Bolden, now 53, was convicted of the 1986 robbery and slaying of Michael Pedersen. Bolden is still appealing his sentence.

Sick. Just fucking sick.

Local Alert! Some Stupid Asshole Threatening People For Posting Flyers

This just in from CW Nevius...

Search for your cat - go to jail.

That's the threat from the official-sounding San Francisco Clean-up Project. The group is sending out letters with the ominous heading: "NOTICE OF VIOLATION/POSTING UNLAWFUL SIGNS." Their letterhead lists an address at City Hall and warns that if any more signs are posted, "YOU PROVIDE NO ALTERNATIVE APART FROM PURSUING CIVIL ACTION AGAINST YOU AND YOUR PERSONAL ASSETS UNDER THE AUTHORITY GRANTED BY CALIFORNIA BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL CODE."

It sounds serious.

The Clean-up Project has sent notices saying one of the offending signs is an 8 1/2-by-11-inch piece of paper that says, "Have You Lost a Cat?" Another is a small cardboard "GARAGE SALE" notice.

They're going to sue someone for a garage sale? That sounds unlikely. So does the rest of the information. First, there is no such organization at City Hall. Second, when City Attorney Dennis Herrera's office prepared a sternly worded letter to "Quinn P. Cooper," who signs the notices, it appears there is no such person.

"We're trying to figure out who this guy is," Herrera said. "But the public can rest assured that we are not going to arrest anyone who is trying to find their lost cat."

God I am sick of all the assholes in this city. Whoever this person is, it's pretty clear they are severely mentally ill and in need of psychiatric help. Perhaps he (or she) really gives a damn about the aesthetic integrity of our lightpoles, but my guess is that - like most assholes in this town - they just enjoy fucking with people.

What a useless bitch!

9/11 is Just Around The Corner... How Will You Remember?

The eighth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks is almost upon us.

First, and most importantly, allow me to share two things with you...

#1 - The History Channel will once again be showing the devastating documentary 102 Minutes That Changed America on September 11th at 8 PM (or you can watch it now on YouTube).

If you have never seen it, it is a horrifying moment-to-moment account of the attacks, in real time, through the eyes of those who were there, with no commentary. More so than any other film I've ever seen, it captures the emotions of the day perfectly.

In my opinion, every American should see this film (in fact, I'd go so far as to say that I believe every American should be
forced to see this film, every year, but I would hope that they would want to remember on their own).

#2 - a friend of mine - a Republican who voted for Obama no less - has sent me this email...

Subject: Sept 11, 2009 - let's do this!!

We have a little less than two weeks and counting to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of America . If you forward this email to least 11 people and each of those people do the same ... you get the idea.

THE PROGRAM:

On Friday, September 11th, 2009, an American Flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this eighth anniversary of one of our country's worst tragedies. We do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds

Action Plan:

So, here's what we need you to do.

(1) Forward this email to everyone you know (at least 11 people).

Please don't be the one to break this chain. Take a moment to think back to how you felt on 9/11 and let those sentiments guide you.

(2) Fly an American flag of any size on 9/11.

Oh Beautiful for Spacious skies for amber waves of grain. For purple mountains majesty, you know the rest! Sing it loud and clear and fly your flag for the United States of America .
Thank you for your participation.

God Bless You and God Bless America !

...And just how is our new Communist jack-off Administration going to "celebrate" this national day of tragedy?...

Obama's Plan to Desecrate 9/11 from American Spectator

The Obama White House is behind a cynical, coldly calculated political effort to erase the meaning of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks from the American psyche and convert Sept. 11 into a day of leftist celebration and statist idolatry.

(snip)

The plan is to turn a "day of fear" that helps Republicans into a day of activism called the National Day of Service that helps the left. In other words, nihilistic liberals are planning to drain 9/11 of all meaning.

"They think it needs to be taken back from the right," said the source. "They're taking that day and they're breaking it because it gives Republicans an advantage. To them, that day is a fearful day."

A coalition including the unsavory left-wing pressure group Color of Change and about 60 far-left, environmentalist, labor, and corporate shakedown groups participated in the call. Groups on the call included: ACORN, AFL-CIO, Apollo Alliance, Community Action Partnership, Deep South Center for Environmental Justice, 80 Million Strong for Young American Jobs, Friends of the Earth, Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, Mobilize.org, National Black Police Association, National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, National Council of Negro Women, National Wildlife Federation, RainbowPUSH Coalition, Urban League, and Young Democrats of America.

Color of Change is the extremist racial grievance group that isn't happy that TV's Glenn Beck did several news packages on Van Jones, the self-described "communist" and "rowdy black nationalist" who became the president's green jobs czar after jumping on the environmentalist bandwagon. The White House may be behind a push to destroy Beck by convincing advertisers to stop buying time on his show. Jones was also on the board of the Apollo Alliance, a hard-left environmentalist group that is now running large chunks of the Obama administration. The group has acknowledged that it dictated parts of the February stimulus bill to Congress.

(snip)

Of this National Day of Service, Jones says little except that it will be a great opportunity "for people to connect, to find other people in your peer group who are also passionate about repowering America but also greening up America and cleaning up America."

On the same day, Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan, Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson, and Department of Energy Under Secretary Kristina Johnson and activists held a low-key press conference. At it, Yearwood said the National Day of Service will be "the first milestone" of a larger effort called Green the Block that is attempting to convince Americans that the utopian fantasy of a so-called green economy is possible without turning the U.S. into a Third World country.

"From policy creation to community implementation, the Green the Block campaign wants to see access and opportunity created for all Americans, to build prosperity and a healthier planet for future generations," Yearwood said.

At no time does anyone explain why this National Day of Service has to be held -- of all the 365 days in a year -- on Sept. 11.
