Happy Earth Day!

America's Ecological Future Will Be Determined by
Immigration Choices We Make Today

(Washington DC ) As Americans commemorate Earth Day on April 22, the country's ecology and resource base continue to be imperiled by mass immigration. More than any other factor, population growth in the United States is adding to the stress on our environment, and nearly all of the nation's projected population growth over the next 40 years will be a direct result of current and future immigration.

Since the first Earth Day in 1970, U.S. population has grown by more than 100 million people, driven by ever increasing levels of immigration. The Census Bureau projects that our current population of just over 300 million will increase to about 435 million by 2050, exacerbating many of the resource and environmental crises we face in this country.

"It is unrealistic to believe that we can address issues like pollution, urban sprawl, and the depletion of water and other vital resources, while continuing on the population path we have been on over the past several decades," said Dan Stein, president of FAIR.

FAIR was founded in 1979 to address concerns about the role of immigration in U.S. population growth. On Earth Day 2008, the organization is renewing its call for a rollback of excessive immigration to the United States and a thoughtful consideration of how these policies will affect the long-term environmental health and security of the nation.

"Unless government acts to alleviate the pressure for ever-increasing levels of immigration, Americans will face a future that holds worsening environmental conditions, dwindling resources, and greater dependence on foreign energy sources. This was not the sort of future envisioned by people like the late Senator Gaylord Nelson who initiated the Earth Day celebration," Stein said. "As we observe Earth Day, we call upon our nation's leaders to get off the immigration and population growth spiral that can only lead to further environmental degradation."

Something Is Missing In Our Earth Day Activities...

By Maria Fotopoulos
April 16, 2008

Last year about this time, it occurred to me that the “green thing” had finally arrived … was running on all cylinders … had achieved mass market acceptance. The dawning came with the realization that seemingly all the key consumer magazines had dedicated April as their green issues – hadn’t seen that before – even though of course April is the month in which Earth Day is celebrated.

There finally was this critical mass of awareness achieved through myriad efforts, including such contributions as Al Gore’s continual “hitting the pavement” with “An Inconvenient Truth,” the good ongoing work of organizations such as the well-funded Natural Resources Defense Council and the efforts of millions of individuals.

There were numerous news stories about corporate efforts to incorporate green as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR), and more and more green products came to market. Sure, some of this green enthusiasm had to be discounted as just lip-service and trying to ride the green wave, but with thousands of other pieces of green evidence, there was no denying there was a new level of awareness and a desire to move towards a truly sustainable society.

This is all good, but in a month that has that special day – Earth Day – to salute Mother Earth and to wallow in our green-ness (even though, yes, we’re supposed to live Earth Day every day), we for the most part ignore a key issue that drove the environmental movement 40 years ago.

So while the kids are enjoying green face-painting and parents are admiring the many uses of hemp at the numerous Earth Day activities during this month, it’s time to add back the discussion about overpopulation by Homo sapiens.

The late Senator Gaylord Nelson, founder of Earth Day, knew that population was a significant element of environmentalism. “The bigger the population gets, the more serious the problems become…. We have to address the population issue…. It can be done.”

Unfortunately, we have become increasingly reticent to discuss overpopulation and its concomitant environmental impacts, let alone actually address it. The 1970s when the population-environment linkage was always acknowledged and widely discussed are a distant memory. We now live in a time where for eight years the leader of the free world has failed to show any true top-down leadership by repeatedly denying funding for the United Nations Population Fund.

And within our country for the last 25 years, we have allowed a flood of immigrants to settle here essentially unchecked. Again to (Senator) Gaylord Nelson, who also said, “In this country, it’s phony to say ‘I’m for the environment but not for limiting immigration.’”

Here in California, the population increased nearly 50 percent just from 1970 to 1990. Virtually all of the additional 500,000 people we’ve been adding annually in recent years is attributable to immigrants and births to immigrants. According to the California Department of Finance, the state’s population may hit 60 million by 2050.

The impact of this population tsunami is felt everyday in congested roadways, overcrowded schools, poor air quality, stressed biodiversity and diminished quality of life. So it’s difficult to imagine a California that would be better with a population twice the size of the current one.

We, as Californians – as Americans – must decide if we will choose to determine the direction of our country for those who will inherit it. In fact we need to decide if we have a moral responsibility to do so. Or, will we just let the future unfold with no regard to what will be wrought through overpopulation?

That’s something to think about this Earth Day.

Does Diversity Really Make Us Better?

A great read... the story of a desperately idealistic Harvard professor... who looks for evidence that diversity makes us stronger... and finds something quite different...

"Diversity Destroys Trust" by Jared Taylor, American Rennaisance

The Stranger Within My Gate

The stranger within my gate.
He may be true or kind.
But he does not talk my talk -
I cannot feel his mind.
I see the face and the eyes and the mouth,
But not the soul behind.

The men of my own stock
They may do ill or well.
But they tell the lies I am wonted to,
They are used to the lies I tell.
We do not need interpreters
When we go to buy or sell.

The Stranger within my gates.
He may be evil or good,
But I cannot tell what powers control -
what reasons sway his mood;
Nor when the Gods of his far-off land
May repossess his blood.

The men of my own stock,
Bitter bad they may be,
But, at least they hear the things I hear
And see the things I see;
And whatever I think of them and their likes
They think of the likes of me.

This was my father’s belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf - And the grapes be all one vine
Ere our children’s teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

Obama's "Brown Shirts" - SEIU Goon Squads

Barack Obama has chosen to align himself with the SEIU - the service-workers international union. This union has been characterized by welcoming and harboring illegal aliens, stalking opponents, and engaging in violent actions against anyone who disagrees with them. These are Barack Obama's "Brown Shirts," who will no doubt be making a lot of news in the coming months, terrorizing other unions into falling in lockstep with the Socialist Messiah.

As the 2008 Labor Notes conference banquet was beginning 200-300 chanting SEIU members and staffers rushed through the side door of the hotel, nearest the banquet hall. The doors had apparently been opened from inside by SEIU staffers attending the conference (see below). Most were wearing the signature SEIU purple T-shirts; some carried signs denouncing the California Nurses Association.

About 15 conference participants were acting as security at the banquet hall doors. When the chanting protesters entered, waving noisemakers, they and others quickly formed a double line in front of the doors, linking arms to block the way. Some participants were thrown to the ground by larger SEIUers. One protestor broke through the first line and, finding himself trapped between the two lines, flailed wildly. Former Labor Notes office manager Dianne Feeley, a retiree from American Axle, was pushed and fell, cutting her head, and was treated at an emergency room. Protesters continued to try to advance toward the doors, some nonviolently and others more aggressively.

It is important to note that SEIU’s planned disruption would have frightened and intimidated hundreds of union members who are not party to their dispute with CNA. In the crowded banquet hall, in which there was barely room between tables; in the panic people undoubtedly would have been injured. As it was, the entire waitstaff, members of UNITE HERE Local 24, fled. We are grateful to the conference-goers whose quick thinking managed to keep the protest contained.

A Poem For The Occasion...

Twas the night before Christmas and all through San Quentin,
the crips were protesting, and liberals were ventin’.

The cyanide hung by the chamber wth care, in hopes that the reaper soon would be there.

The inmates were nestled all snug in their bed ;
except for Old Tookie, who soon would be dead.

And me with my beer mug, dressed warm in my flannell, had curled up to watch it, on the Fox News Channel.

I set up my TIVO to record the news station, and thoroughly loved the momentous occasion.

It seemed lady justice had gotten her way, and that there would be one less savage today.

When outside the jail there arose such a clatter, the cameras had turned to see what was the matter.

When what to my civilized eyes did appear, but a lineup of actors, all liberal, half queer.

The misguided freaks drew some curious looks, as they proclaimed his innocence; clutching his books.

The tears then flew out from Sarandon’s eyes, as she nominated him again for the Nobel Peace Prize.

The actors were tethered to an ACLU sleigh, all towing the line of the urban decay.

On Asner, on Penn, on liberal cop-haters,
On Sharpton, on Jesse and other race-baiters.

Then at 3:01 all curled up like a beetle, Tookie cried like a bitch as they gave him the needle.

When up from the actors there arose such a cry, they had failed in their mission, and Tookie DID DIE !!

I heard Bill O’Reilly say, as I turned out my light, Merry Christmas to all … there was justice tonight !!

Executions to Resume After High Court OK's Lethal Injections

U.S. executions are all but sure to resume soon after a nationwide halt, cleared Wednesday by a splintered Supreme Court that approved the most widely used method of lethal injection.

Virginia immediately lifted its moratorium; Oklahoma and Mississippi said they would seek execution dates for convicted murderers, and other states were ready to follow after nearly seven months without an execution in the United States.

Voting 7-2, the conservative court led by Chief Justice John Roberts rebuffed the latest assault on capital punishment, this time by foes focusing on methods rather than on the legality of the death penalty itself.

Wednesday's case involved two inmates, Ralph Baze and Thomas Clyde Bowling Jr., who were convicted of murder and sentenced to death by juries in Kentucky. Baze killed a sheriff and a deputy who were attempting to arrest him. Bowling shot and killed a couple and wounded their 2-year-old son outside their dry-cleaning business.

Fayette County Commonwealth Attorney Ray Larson, who prosecuted Bowling in 1992, said after the ruling: "Fact of the matter is, this lethal injection process is about as far from cruel and unusual as anything you can imagine. This is just another one of those things the anti-death penalty gang is throwing against the wall to see what sticks."

From SFGate article

If you want to see just how sick some San Franciscans are, read the comments section of this article. But if you've just eaten, you may want to wait an hour or so. I admit that I spend far too much time arguing on the comment boards there. But it's just so easy...

I am elated, but this is California, the state of phony "compassion" - these assholes will do anything, no matter how dirty, to prevent the DP from coming back. There are a lot of people who hide their racism behind the guise of "compassion," basically saying that no one who's not white should ever be executed. These people claim to be "compassionate," but have no regard for the people who deserve REAL compassion: the victims and their families.

These social retards will never shut up and put there money where their mouth is... meaning putting it on the ballot. Because they know they will never win. Most good people in this world do not make excuses for killers. There is no one so passive-aggressively cruel as an anti-DP advocate.

Website of the Month: Frugal Squirrels

The other day I checked my webstats and found that I got nearly 130 hits from a website called Frugal Squirrels. So I checked it out and it's awesome!

Frugal Squirrels is "an online community dedicated to crisis preparedness, self-sufficiency, and sustainability." It has a store for your survival needs, and a great forums section (you have to register to view the forums).

I've been meaning to post more disaster preparedness information on this site, so in the already crowded sidebar I'm adding a "disaster preparedness" column, encompassing civil defense, personal defense, and maybe some sites explaining why it's a pretty damn good idea to prepare yourself for the inevitable civic hiccups we will be facing in the near future.

...or you could just rely on the government... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

US State Dept. Issues Travel Alert For Mexico

Violent criminal activity fueled by a war between criminal organizations struggling for control of the lucrative narcotics trade continues along the U.S.-Mexico border. Attacks are aimed primarily at members of drug trafficking organizations, Mexican police forces, criminal justice officials, and journalists. However, foreign visitors and residents, including Americans, have been among the victims of homicides and kidnappings in the border region. In its effort to combat violence, the government of Mexico has deployed military troops in various parts of the country. U.S. citizens are urged to cooperate with official checkpoints when traveling on Mexican highways.

Recent Mexican army and police force conflicts with heavily-armed narcotics cartels have escalated to levels equivalent to military small-unit combat and have included use of machine guns and fragmentation grenades. Confrontations have taken place in numerous towns and cities in northern Mexico, including Tijuana in the Mexican state of Baja California, and Chihuahua City and Ciudad Juarez in the state of Chihuahua. The situation in northern Mexico remains very fluid; the location and timing of future armed engagements there cannot be predicted.

Armed robberies and carjackings, apparently unconnected to the narcotics-related violence, have increased in Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez. Dozens of U.S. citizens were kidnapped and/or murdered in Tijuana in 2007. Public shootouts have occurred during daylight hours near shopping areas.

Criminals are armed with a wide array of sophisticated weapons. In some cases, assailants have worn full or partial police or military uniforms and have used vehicles that resemble police vehicles.

U.S. citizens residing and traveling in Mexico should exercise caution when in unfamiliar areas and be aware of their surroundings at all times. Violence by criminal elements affects many parts of the country, urban and rural, including border areas. Though there is no evidence that U.S. citizens are specifically targeted, Mexican and foreign bystanders have been injured or killed in some violent attacks, demonstrating the heightened risk in public places. In recent years, dozens of U.S. citizens have been kidnapped in Mexico and many cases remain unresolved. Moreover, new cases of disappearances and kidnap-for-ransom continue to be reported.

No one can be considered immune from kidnapping on the basis of occupation, nationality, or other factors. U.S. citizens who believe they are being followed should notify Mexican officials as soon as possible. U.S. citizens should make every attempt to travel on main roads during daylight hours, particularly the toll (“cuota”) roads, which are generally more secure. It is preferable for U.S. citizens to stay in well-known tourist destinations and tourist areas of the cities with more adequate security, and provide an itinerary to a friend or family member not traveling with them. U.S. citizens should avoid traveling alone as a means to better ensure their safety.

This is More Like It

More on the Absolut Mess

In a new ad campaign running in Mexico, Absolut Vodka is sporting billboards and print ads highlighting a map of North America in which California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Texas and parts of Wyoming are back under Mexico City's domain. Across the map reads the message: "In an Absolut World."

This ad is much more than an ad to entice Mexicans to put down the tequila and pick up the vodka. It is an ad that speaks to a prevailing Mexican mindset many Americans, especially those advocating open borders and amnesty, do not want to acknowledge.

Mexico has long had a grievance with the United States, a grievance stemming from the annexation of Texas and the humiliating defeat the nation suffered in 1848 after it sought to reclaim its lost northern province.

Mexico, still relatively an infant nation, had fumed over the U.S. annexation of Texas and argued it was an act of war. Mexico City also disputed U.S. claims to land north of the Rio Grande. In response to the hostilities, President James Polk mobilized U.S. troops and dispatched them to the banks of the Rio.

It did not take long for Mexican troops to fire upon a U.S. patrol, thus giving Mr. Polk and Congress the green light it needed to declare war. Soon soldiers by the name of Lee, Grant, Scott and McClellan were strolling through the streets of Montezuma.

As punishment for its hostility, Mexico handed over the much-coveted Aztlan and, to ease the pain of Mexico humiliation, the U.S. gave them $15 million. The border was secured.

And even though more than a century has passed since Santa Ana learned it was not wise to step on Superman's cape, many Mexicans, both in Mexico and the U.S., believe that revenge is best served cold.

But in running its ad, the Absolut marketing department has acknowledged a basic truth many on Capitol Hill wish to ignore - immigration is not just an economic issue pertaining to nannies and gardeners; it is about a historical grievance Mexico intends to correct...

...With the border patrol apprehending approximately 150,000 illegal immigrants a month sneaking into the U.S., not counting the scores of border banditos that escape, illegal aliens are filling U.S. jails, roughly 30 percent of the population sitting in federal penitentiaries today, and Latin American gangs are moving their turf wars to the streets of the American Southwest. There is no denying a Reconquista is occurring in the lands once referred to as Alta California.

From: 'Absolut' Arrogane: Philadelphia Bulletin

Absolut-ly! I think we all owe a great debt to the makers and marketers of Absolut, because they have exposed and debunked one of the most oft spread lies of the pro-illegal alien/anti-borders crowd: the reconquista doesn't exist.

It is clear that the reconquista is not a figment of American right-winger's imaginations, and is a very real threat to the sovereignty of the USA.

Ad makers don't take chances. The only reason they ran this ad in Mexico was because they were certain that it would resonate with a majority of the people. In other words, they were counting on the fact that a vast majority of Mexican citizens believe that the Southwestern United States is THEIR land and that they do not need our permission to come and settle here.

The anti-borders crowd has long maintained that the reconquista concept was just the product of American right-wing paranoia, and now see them exposed for the mother-fucking liars that they are! They all know full well what the reality was, and tried to pull a fast one by screaming racist (yet again)! Let's see how the weasels try to worm out of this one!

Moderation and Responsibility: Great For Drinking But Not Immigration - According to Absolut Vodka!

"Mexico Reconquers California? Absolut Drinks to That!" from American Renaissance

DOJ Wants $5.4 Million Back From S.F.

The U.S. Department of Justice wants San Francisco to repay $5.4 million in grant money earmarked to help fight the war on drugs in states bordering Mexico because federal auditors found the city was not eligible for the funding.

San Francisco had sought the grant under the Southwest Border Prosecution Initiative, which compensates law enforcement agencies in California and other border states for the costs of handling prosecutions in lieu of federal authorities.

As of March of last year, the city claimed it had handled more than 2,241 such cases, but a federal audit released this week found that none of the cases had been referred by federal officials to District Attorney Kamala Harris' office as required under the program.

The audit found that the cases the city cited in its application should have been "disallowed" as "unsubstantiated" under the government's grant criteria.

City officials contacted Thursday were unable to explain the circumstances surrounding San Francisco's application for the grant or how it spent the funds.

Fucking typical! The government of San Francisco openly touts its Sanctuary City status, and then, when the inevitable crime-wave hits, that Obama-loving bitch Kamala Harris tries to bilk the federal government into paying for it! This is just the tip of the iceberg. I hope the feds tear this city a new one.

I am a San Franciscan, proud of what this city used to be, and I hope with all my heart that all federal funding is cut off from this corrupt, criminal city government!
