The Common Thread of Murder

Been a very hectic, very crazy, downright awful week.

On Friday, some complete fucking asshole named Barry White, Jr. walked into the SF Gift Center at 888 Brannan St in San Francisco, killed two people and shot a third, then ran out into the street to shoot at police before giving himself up.

I work on the same street, and some of my co-workers heard the five shots he got off at the cops before running out of ammo and surrendering.  The business I work at was placed on lockdown by the police while they searched for a possible second suspect.  One woman was in hysterics, having left her child in her parked car while she shopped... she won't be doing that again.

Needless to say, this wasn't White's first run in with the law.  At the tender age of 23, he had already accumulated a lifetime's worth of hate, and now sits in a cage, where the fucking animal belongs.

While murders happen all the time in San Francisco, they don't happen in places like the SOMA.  This was front page news.  It was front page news because it hit home to many of the readers for the reason that this horrible crime happened in a place they would actually frequent.

And not the black ghetto, where these things usually happen.

Perhaps not uncoincidentally, the George Zimmerman case wound up as well.  One commentator said that the public mood was that they identified far less with Trayvon Martin and far more with George Zimmerman.  While many people may identify with being the victim of an overzealous neighborhood watch guy, far more identify with the man who became a victim of a black thug.

Some people will insist - despite reams of overwhelming evidence and what is staring them right in the motherfucking face - that this is not a black thing.  Bullshit.  It is a black thing.  That's not my opinion, that's a fact.  And if you're reading this and feeling uncomfortable with what it's saying, then you are a motherfucking imbecile, a liar, a punk, and a bitch.

I've already moved out of the City, and am just winding up my job here.  It seems like everyday now we have some incident in the store that requires either the police or for the staff to physically eject some crazy asshole.  This town is going to fucking hell.  Everyone feels it.  No one except the most brain dead faggot Liberals crow about how great this town is anymore.  Everyone knows it's collapsing.

Just a few more weeks.  Let me last just a few more weeks.
